The Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (METRO) will be able to meet growing customer demand after Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently delivered a fleet of light to medium-duty trucks at their new logistics center.
The turn over ceremony was held last November 16, 2015, at METRO’s new logistics facility in Silangan, Laguna.
Present during the ceremony were IPC President Hajime Koso, METRO Chairman and CEO Frank Gaisano, METRO President & COO Arthur Manuel and METRO Vice President of Supply Chain Ricky Aguas.
“We are proud to be chosen as the lead truck supplier for METRO Group. We are confident that the trucks we delivered will be able to meet the increasing demand for their business. As for Isuzu, our after sales service network is always at hand to support and assists METRO’s supply chain group,” said IPC President Hajime Koso.
During the ceremony, IPC presented 12 units of the Isuzu NKR71 with aluminum body, 12 NKR71 trucks with refrigerated van body and 13 units of the FVM34 with aluminum wing van body. All of the trucks will be utilized to deliver goods to the increasing number of METRO stores across the country.
