Medical practitioners of The Medical City join road safety campaign
Now on its 6th leg, C! Magazine rolled out its road safety campaign before the medical practitioners of The Medical City, Ortigas Ave. last September 28, as the pioneer car magazine continued to advocate awareness about road safety practices.
Among the partners’ representatives who served as speakers of the road safety campaign were Carlo Claudio of Tuason Racing School (TRS), Ralph Teeten of Bridgestone, Ivy Ricafort-Sison from Maxi-Cosi, and regular speakers Paul Violetta from Lifeline Ambulance Service, Petron’s Mike Potenciano, and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) Miguel “Mhigz” Panal.
The question and answer portion served as an opportunity for the doctors and nurses to raise their concerns to MMDA’s Miguel Panal.
Their concerns were about their right of way especially during an emergency, and the traffic situation around the hospital as doctors on-call get caught whenever they make a U-turn in front of The Medical City, which causes their late arrival for their patients’ appointments.
Panal committed to address these traffic issues by informing the MMDA Officer-in Charge Thomas “Tim” Orbos, and the local traffic enforcement of Pasig.
The C! Magazine Road Safety Campaign is presented by Petron Corporation, Bridgestone Tires, in collaboration with MMDA, Tuason Racing School, and Lifeline Ambulance Service.
The 2017 Road Safety Campaign also has Philippine Star, Wheels, and Ride and Drive Philippines as media partners. Other backers include Maxi-Cosi, Jergens, Lighthouse Marina Hotel, Goody, Mont Albo, Human Nature, Tamiya, Inc., Modarri, Lego, and Bo’s Coffee.
