Suzuki Motorcycles demonstrated a strong start in volume sales for 2019 with a first quarter sales growth of 36 percent, according to the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc.’s (MDPPA) data.
Celebrating its centennial year in 2020, Suzuki showed how its performance attained the biggest growth of two percent in the Philippine market share.
Such results were brought by Suzuki Motorcycles’ sales of the Underbone and Scooter categories, spearheaded of the brand’s integrated sales, marketing and brand communication strategies. Suzuki now has a 45 percent market share in the said Underbone category, led by the Raider R150 and Smash Stylish Colors.
Data also presented a warm welcome to the brand’s latest Scooter offering, the Skydrive Sport. Launched in August last year, the Skydrive Sport is ideal for beginners and younger riders. It is also instrumental in the Japanese manufacturer’s growth of 357% in the Scooter category.
