Subaru Corp. reveals Viziv Tourer Concept at Geneva Motor Show

Subary Viziv Tourer Concept aims to reduce road accidents

Since the debut of the Subaru Viziv Concept in 2013, Subaru has produced a series of themed concept models embodying the brand’s vision for the future of making cars that deliver enjoyment and peace of mind to its customers.

Now with a tourer theme, the new Subaru Viziv Tourer Concept has a symmetrical AWD layout powered by a boxer engine, and will offer the seven starred brand’s expertise in driving performance, practicality and safety.

This tourer concept is equipped with automated driving technologies such as driver-assist functions, the next generation EyeSight system that was installed together with other devices, which will help in reducing the driver’s fatigue on long journeys, and enable active enjoyment and peace of mind.

Evoking successive generations of Subaru touring wagon models that have paired superior driving with high levels of practicality, the Subaru Viziv Tourer Concept has been designed based on Subaru’s shared “Dynamic x Solid” design philosophy.

The hexagonal grille flaunts the forward-thrusting body of the Viziv Tourer Concept, combining four powerfully defined fenders to highlight the enjoyment of driving while conveying a sense of security. For practicality, this tourer concept offers a lot of space at the rear.

The advanced driver-assist technologies are scheduled to launch in 2020, and will also incorporate further enhancements to EyeSight driver-assist technology, radar, and highly accurate GPS and navigation systems. All of these safety features aim to reduce car accidents.
