SCTEX implements toll hike starting June 14

SCTEX adds Php 0.51 per kilometer

After retaining its toll fees since 2011, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) will start collecting an additional Php 0.51 per kilometer starting at 12:01 A.M. on June 14.

Under the approved toll rate of the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), motorists with Class 1 vehicles traveling from Mabalacat City (Mabiga Interchange) to Tarlac will be paying an additional Php 20.00. Class 2 vehicles will pay an additional Php 40.00, and Php 60.00 for Class 3 vehicles. For motorists traveling between Mabalacat and Tipo, Subic, they will be charged an additional Php 32.00, Php 66.00, and Php 98.00 for Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles respectively.

Although SCTEX toll rates have remained at 2011 levels, infrastructure improvements along the 94-kilometer tollway have continued. Since 2015, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and NLEX Corporation have invested in various enhancement projects in the high standard expressway to maintain motorist safety and convenience.

The entire stretch of the SCTEX between Tarlac and Tipo also underwent a massive asphalt pavement upgrade in 2017 which made for smoother and quieter rides. On the other hand, the Tipo Toll Plaza and the new Mabiga Interchange were boosted with additional toll lanes.
