Audi launches the 2018 Q5 crossover in the Philippines

New Q5 revitalizes premium crossover segment

Audi Philippines has just launched one of their best selling models, the all new Q5 crossover, during a grand event at the Manila Polo Club last night.

“I am proud to bring the all-new Audi Q5 here in the Philippines. This car is setting the bar higher for SUVs in its class,” says Audi Philippines head, Benedicto Coyiuto.

The 2017 Q5 is the second generation of the model line since it debuted in 2008. The crossover easily became one of the brand’s best sellers in the global premium crossover market.

The all-new Audi Q5 embodies many of the brand’s qualities such as the advanced and premium design with the signature face, distinct lines, and many more, including a striking set of headlamps with LED daylight running lights. The Q5 is available in 8 different colors.

The Q5’s interior -like the body’s design- is very premium and made of ultra high quality materials. There is seating for five adults, with all seats wrapped in premium leather. At the center of the dashboard is Audi’s massive 12.3-inch screen with an MMI command module on the center console to control the many functions of the infotainment system. It also comes standard with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, and plays music through a Bang & Olufsen speaker system.

The new crossover is also available with adaptive damping for increased comfort or better handling, whichever the driver prefers. An adaptive air suspension system is also available to lift the Q5 above road debris and other obstacles on the road.

Customers can opt for either the 2.0-liter direct injection turbo gasoline engine with 250 bhp or the 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 190 hp. The Audi Q5 comes with a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox as standard and can run at a top speed of 220 km/h. The Audi Q5 also features quattro all-wheel drive with ultra technology which disengages the rear-axle drive whenever it is not needed, and if necessary can proactively re-engage it.

The prices for the all-new Audi Q5 starts at PhP 4.9 million, depending on the customer’s choices amongst the many optional equipment available.
