SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp., the official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, announced the availability of the all-new BMW 3 Series and all-new Z4.
BMW 3 Series
With 15 million units sold worldwide since its 1975 debut, the 3 Series has gained an undeniable status among the brand’s range of products. The seventh generation 3 Series lingers in the same space of modern luxury vehicles that marry dynamic sportiness with elegance.
The new 3 Series embodies BMW’s new design language through the precisely drawn lines and contoured surfaces. It is 76 millimeters longer than its predecessor (at 4,709 mm), 16 millimeters wider (1,827 mm), and just 1 mm taller (1,435 millimeters).
A larger kidney grille and a new pair of full-LED headlights don the front. The LED front fog lights are integrated into the outer air intakes. At the sides, the lines and contours continue. Slim and darkened LED lights highlight the clearly more muscular and confident stance of the 3 Series’ rear.
Inside, an elegant and sporty theme are combined with a cleanly-designed center console and instrument panel. In the center of the instrument panel, displays and buttons for air conditioning and air vents are sharply designed. Light functions are operated from a panel of buttons next to the steering wheel. The start/stop button for the engine is now positioned in the new control panel in the center console, where the shifter is joined by the iDrive Controller and the buttons for the Driving Experience Control switch unit and electromechanical parking brake.
The all-new 3 Series powered by a two-liter, four-cylinder BMW TwinPower turbo engine capable of 254 bhp from 5,000 to 6,500 rpm, and a peak torque of 295 lb-ft. from 1,550 to 4,400 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 in 5.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h.
