Welcome the new Jetta and Golf GTS
In line with Volkswagen Philippines’ goal of doubling its record-breaking sales this year, the German automaker will release the two new versions of the Jetta and Golf GTS by the end of May.
For six generations, Volkswagen was able to sell over 14 million units of Jetta worldwide, making it among the most successful sedans in the German marquee’s history. Its stylish look, feature-packed amenities, and remarkable comfort features make the Jetta an ideal car for everyday driving.
The Jetta is powered by a 2.0-liter Turbo-charged Direct Injection (TDI) diesel engine mated to a 6-speed DSG transmission system which generates 150Ps of power at 3,500-4,200 rpm and a class-leading 340Nm of torque at 1,750-3,000 rpm, and will be available in four variants: the Business Edition+, Business Edition, Highline, and Comfortline.
Jetta’ Business Edition and Business Edition+ variants are equipped with Bi-Xenon headlights, Adaptive Front Lighting System, and LED daytime running lights. The 17-inch Lancaster alloy wheels and front fog lights are also available in Highline variant, while the sunroof is standard in all variants.
Inside the Business Edition+, Business Edition, and Highline, are Fender 8-speaker sound system, dual-zone Climatronic air-conditioning, rain sensor, and 6-way power driver seat plus lumbar adjust. Leather seats, keyless entry with push start, and the 5.8-inch touchscreen color display audio are the standard features of all Jetta variants.
Safety features such as Adaptive Cruising Control, Blind Spot Alert with Lane Assist, and Front Assist with Forward Collision Warning, are available for the Business Edition+.
The new Jetta variants are available in Black, Platinum Gray, Toffee Brown, Cardinal Red Metallic, Reflex Silver, Blue Silk, Pure White, and Moon Rock Silver. Black is the standard interior color of all variants, while beige interior is also available for the Business Edition+, Business Edition, and Highline.
For all these features, the Jetta is priced at P1.1 million for the Comfortline, P1.2 million for the Highline, P1.25 million for the Business Edition and P1.3 million for the Business Edition+.
For over seven generations of production, Volkswagen was able to sell over 30 million units of the Golf, overtaking the sales of the iconic Beetle.
The Golf GTS’s (Grand Touring Sport) body style carries the DNA of the original Golf, but offers 350 liters more cargo space (rear seats folded) than its hatchback version. The GTS is ideal for those who love the power and performance the Golf has been known for over the years, yet still value the comfort and space of a wagon.
Powered by a 2.0 TDI diesel engine mated to a 6-speed DSG Transmission system, the Golf GTS generates 150 PS of power at 3,500-4,200 rpm, and class-leading maximum torque of 340 Nm at 1,750-3,000 rpm, and is available in two variants: the Business Edition+, and the Business Edition.
Volkswagen dealers are now accepting reservations for the Jetta and Golf GTS, with units expected to be delivered by end of May.
