The 5th leg of the Campaign made its way to Katipunan
Miriam College included the C! Road Safety Program into their leadership training for student leaders last September 18. The student leaders who attended the C! Road Safety Program are mostly drivers themselves while others are student drivers and daily commuters. This is C! Magazine's 5th leg in their C! Road Safety Campaign road show this year. C! Magazine's aim is to propagate awareness about road safety practices early on with students.
Partnering companies and organizations were present in sharing road safety tips to MC students. Representing these groups were Mr. Pong Tee of Tuason Racing School, Mr. Mike Potenciano who represented Petron, Mr. Bong Romero of Yokohama Tire Sales Philippines, Capt. Bryan Payte of Lifeline Ambulance Service, and Mr. Miguel Panal of Metro Manila Development Authority.
At the Q&A portion of the program, there were a lot of concerns that were raised by the students about traffic rules and regulations. One of the most pressing matter that was asked to Mr. Miguel Panal of MMDA was their concern about the traffic situation in their area wherein the U-turn near Ateneo University is causing MC students to arrive late at their campus. Mr. Panal has committed to take necessary action to remedy the situation so that MC students will not have to worry about being late for class.
The C! Road Safety Program series will run until November of 2017. For interested schools and companies who wish to have this program at their area, you may contact Isabel Cortes or Winie Matamorosa at these numbers: 728-3720 to 21.
