FORS encourages drivers to join this year’s race activities
FlatOut Race Series (FORS) is set to open its 2018 season this weekend (March 3) at the Clark International Speedway. Authorized by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), this year’s race will have a total of 10 events, and will have new approach to level-up the competition.
In the Time Attack, the roster of drivers have been grouped according to their driving skills, while the new Bracket R is set to challenge the quickest drivers in beating the track records at the Batangas Racing Circuit (1:42.650) and Clark International Speedway (1:57.870). On the other hand, Grid races will continue to promote proper wheel-to-wheel racing in a safe and friendly environment.
Also part of the FORS calendar is the Philippine Endurance Challenge (PEC). The country's longest-running enduro race will host the 4 Oras ng Pilipinas in June, followed by the 8 Oras ng Pilipinas in December. Last year's event saw a record-breaking 33-car grid take off from the starting line where the winning car raced 900 kms in eight hours.
FORS also welcomes the newly-established Formula V1 Challenge as part of its 2018 calendar. The single-seater series will be run by Tuason Racing School (TRS) and will join the season on two outings.
