2018 Touge Battle Round 2

Ho rules 2018 Touge Battle 2nd round

The Touge Battle opened its second round at the Batangas Racing Circuit last March 3, with Chris Ho emerging as the fastest driver, finishing the race in 01:16.41.

As the two-time Prestige Class champion, Ho pushed himself more this season by competing in the Race 1 class with his Ford Mustang. Armed by a constant training, Ho stayed ahead in his class, leaving Paul Perez frustrated at 2nd place with a 1.59-second gap and Sonny De Torres placing 3rd.

For the Economy Class, rookie Paolo Aguas gave everyone a show when he raced against Pabby Abian. Both drivers were so closely matched that they had two draws before Aguas finally won after four battles. Russel Ibeas finished 3rd in their class.

Eliel Alonzo came out on top once again in the Regular Class as he convincingly won against Touge Battle’s 2-time champion Makolino Pasumbal. Marc Natauan ranked 3rd.

In the Premium Class, John Carbonel barely edged out Raffy Rabe in 2nd place after a three-round battle, with Armand Marcaida placing 3rd.

Dan Virtucio looked like he had the Turbo Class win all sewn up until engine trouble plagued him before the start of the finals battles, forcing him to forfeit handing over the win to newcomer Ryan Gamara. Chad Alviar took home third place.

GT Academy finalist Elysse Menorca used what she learned in her gaming and GT academy training to take her second ladies' class win. Newcomer Particia Vicente showed massive potential in her first race as she kept Elysse close and grabbed second place. Czarina Vicencio, another racing newcomer, came in third.

The top three newbies for Round 2 were Paolo Aguas, Ryan Gamara and Dan Virtucio. Anthony Racelis dominated the Race 3 class, while Ivan Diaz took home 2nd place and Juan Carlos De Borja settled for 3rd.
