Philippine Endurance Challenge eyes 33-car grid in GT Radial 8-hour race

TRS also to debut Formula V1 at PEC’s 8-hour race

With a 33-car entry list in the GT Radial x 8 Oras ng Pilipinas, the country’s longest-running Philippine Endurance Challenge (PEC) will have the biggest grid to date. The local endurance race will be held at Clark International Speedway from December 2 to 3.

For the 2017 endurance race, rules were changed to accommodate the wide variety of entries. The FM-3 category was added to accommodate slightly-modified street cars with less than 100 hp, while the FM-2 category is now specifically for all cars with 100 to 150 hp, and Tuason Racing School’s Formula V1 prototype will also have its own category.

Aside from Filipino racers, the GT Radial x 8 Oras ng Pilipinas will also consist of several international teams. SmartFuels2Race will have an all-Australian driver line-up, while the Motul 602PTG will have Japanese drivers, and five Singaporean drivers in BRP Racing’s #9 car.
