Sometime ago, Suzuki promised us the Raider R150 FI, the street going version of the bikes used in the last season of the Suzuki Asian Challenge. But in a stroke of genius, Suzuki gave us not only the much-awaited Raider R150 FI, but also two other unexpected new bikes from the GSX series, and they were the GSX-R150 and GSX-S150. Thus, the Suzuki Full Force was born. Last month we gave you our initial riding impression of the Raider R150 FI. In this issue, we give you a glimpse of what to expect from the new GSX duo.

The GSX-R150

Fresh from its debut at the Suzuki Asian Challenge – Suzuki’s developmental program to discover and train future MotoGP champions through a single-make competition on a Suzuki bike, the GSX-R150 – from the hierarchy of the King of Sportbikes – GSX-R1000R, is now available to conquer the Philippine roads.

One look and you can easily see its resemblance to the GSX-R1000, especially in MotoGP Edition colors. A handsome looking ride giving you a big bike feel, the GSX-R150 promises a powerful performance with its newly developed liquid-cooled 150cc single cylinder dohc 4-valve 6-speed transmission motor bearing a maximum power of  25.35 hp at 10500 rpm and maximum torque of 10.32 lb-ft at 9000 rpm. The GSX-R150 also boasts of a technology that is the first in its class – a keyless ignition system with a remote control that has an answer back function with a range of up to 20 meters and is equipped with the Suzuki Easy Start System. It also possesses a full digital instrument panel with an LED headlight. Completing the sporty look are the wavy disc brakes and a dual exit exhaust muffler.

The GSX-S150

As the GSX-S1000 is to the GSX-R1000, the GSX-S150 is the streetfighter version of the GSX-R150 sportbike. This ride is poised to dominate the urban roads while also stirring your soul to bring it to an exciting weekend tour outside the city. Just like the GSX-R150, a newly developed 150cc DOHC engine powers the GSX-S150 with 4-valve and 6-speed transmission bearing a maximum power of 25.35 hp at 10500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.32 lb-ft at 9000 rpm.

Unlike the keyless ignition of the GSX-R150, the GSX-S150 uses a standard key and is also operated with Suzuki Easy Start System. For added security, the GSX-S150 is equipped with a key shutter. It also has a full digital instrument panel and an LED headlight for wider viewing at night. It also boasts of wavy disc brakes and dual exit muffler for fuel efficiency.
